Foundation Inspections

We provide level B inspections for all foundations.  During a foundation inspection we provide the following services; visual exterior veneer cracking inspection, visual drainage inspection, visual roof framing inspection, visual vegetation survey, elevation measurement.  All of this information is then documented and prepared in a detailed report.  Your report includes the following; a stamped and signed computer generated blueprint of house and vegetation, and a stamped and signed structural opinion report of findings for subject property.  This report is court worthy and is documentation of foundation worthiness for a specific period of time.  We have performed over 4000 of these inspections and have a database to back up our findings for further investigation of foundation issues pertaining to property location.  If you are purchasing a home in North Texas, we strongly recommend that a level B inspection be performed on subject property.  It is a measure of inexpensive insurance against future highly expensive and problematic repairs.  If you are not in the market to purchase a home, but are concerned about the possibilities of foundation problems with your current residence, it is an intelligent choice to have a level B inspection performed.  In so doing, you will be able to adequately access foundation performance and any repairs if necessary.

Foundation Design

Our engineering firm has the facilities and experience necessary to design foundations for your next project.  We have designed hundreds of foundations for individual clients and contractors alike.  New construction or additions, rebar or post-tension, pier and beam; all the afore stated foundation design platforms have been performed by our firm with the utmost in quality and promptness which you should expect from a premier engineering firm.  Geotechnical boring and testing are also services our firm is able to perform.  During the creation of your foundation design, our firm analyzes geotechnical data, lot preparation and subject bearing loads assuring economically advanced foundation performance.

Framing-Plan Designs

During new-home construction, engineering of structural grade members/beams and placement of load bearing walls/bracing should obtained.  Generally, this is called a Framing-Plan.  If you are planning on having a home built or are building a new home, a framing plan is necessary for successful performance.  For example, roof sag, header sag, floor deflection (greater than allowed).  All this and other things could be direct results of not having a structural engineered Framing-Plan.  A Framing-Plan is the engineering and designing of proper beam size, placement of walls, size and design of floor systems and other important facets of the structural portion of a home.

Structural Opinions

In accordance with Framing-Plans, Structural Opinions are necessary if important facets to the structural framing are failing.  During this type of inspection, visual account will be made of the situation, followed by any measurement processes if applicable, and then an opinion will be evolved regarding the subject at hand.  All of this will then be placed in report form and issued to the client - stamped and signed by a structural engineer of this firm.  Also, available at time of report issuance, cost estimations pertaining to repair recommendations can be calculated.
